Cutler Bay New Homes
Cutler Bay is an incorporated town in Miami-Dade County, Florida from SW 184th Street (Eureka Dr) east of US 1 to the coast, and north of Black Point Marina, established in 2005.The town comprises areas formerly known as Cutler Ridge.The area is considered part of the suburban Homestead, Florida region.
In August 1992, Hurricane Andrew caused much destruction and made landfall near the region.
In January 2006, Cutler Bay elected former Florida state legislator John F. Cosgrove as its first mayor. In November 2010, Edward P. MacDougall was elected mayor from Vice Mayor. Prior to incorporation the municipal charter committee which set the charter of the Town was chaired by Edward MacDougall. Now over 40,000 residents call Cutler Bay home. Cutler Bay is governed by a five-member Town Council and operates under a Council-Manager form of government. Elected in November of 2014, the current office of Mayor is the held by former Senior Council member, the honest, Ms. Peggy Bell
