Plantation New & Pre-Construction Homes
New Construction Communities Throughout South Florida
The natural environment in plantation is unsurpassed by other South Florida cities. Situated among thousands of trees are safe, friendly neighborhoods, world class recreation facilities plus a business community that was secure. It is home to a number of big national companies, and is geographically focused in Broward County, including Motorola American Express and Kaplan University. The City of Plantation has grown into a growing, energetic municipality, with a residential population surpassing 85,000, and was incorporated in April of 1953.
The City of Plantation is rich in amenities, a competitive business environment and beautifully landscaped roads. You’ll locate an urban environment intermixed with a “hometown” lifestyle, realized through sensible comprehensive planning along with the vision and support of our City Council, staff and volunteer organizations.
Plantation is host to several annual events and celebrations. The Historical Society creates a Winter Wonderland highlighting trees decorated in several designs reflecting a variety of cultures each December. Autumn is the setting for Art in the Park, an outdoor juried Art Show offering food and beverage, musical entertainment and activities for children. The Halloween & Security Festival features a children’s carnival, live music, haunted house, raffles and door prizes.
The City of Plantation Historical Museum, which started in a back room of City Hall as a little museum, opened in 1985 and today houses permanent exhibits which include important city memorabilia and artifacts from the Seminole and Tequesta tribes.
